One of the reasons for our success is our ability to provide hands on transformation and/or implementation services. This service is an extension to our consultancy services. This service illustrates our ability to “walk the talk” to actively lead or support the implementation and program management through our team of professionals who have many years of successful operational and/or commercial experience.
Europhia Consulting also provides experience and expertise in leading change management processes especially within complex organisations and across geographies.
Europhia Consulting has dealt with a number of transformation projects around the world. Depending on the scope, most of these projects were the result of first providing a client with a strategic business view including a clear pathway in why and how a transformation process is best executed.
One pharmaceutical project involved the M&A of a competitor company and merging its finished goods commercial supply chain including staff with that of the client. This required the design of a new European distribution model with one centralized European warehouse in a more central geographical location to service the client’s distribution channels across Europe to enable the client to scale up. The client also required a new European financial model and for this it outsourced its financial order to cash services which Europhia Consulting managed.
Another example, one hospital group project required the separate decentralized planning and logistics organizations to be merged and centralized into one new organization with new responsibilities to manage the order inflow from a sourcing, planning and logistics perspective. The new centralized warehouse activity had to be contracted out to a third-party logistics provider. The contract had to be negotiated and implemented according to GxP quality standards. Europhia Consulting managed this whole transformation program.
Europhia Consulting has dealt with multiple implementational projects around the world. Depending on the scope, most of these projects were the result of first providing a client with a strategic consultancy view including a clear pathway in how to implement the recommendations provided.
Typical implementation work has involved outsourcing of logistics services on behalf of clients, managing and negotiating tenders with service providers and implementing contracts operationally. Most implementation pathways require multiple, cross functional departmental involvement, and have a financial, commercial, quality, IT systems and physical logistics component.
In the area of life sciences some of the implementation projects relate to upstream supply chain requirements such as planning processes, secondary packaging and (lane) validation work together with logistics services providers in warehousing and/or transportation. Other work has involved the set up of new distribution models to enable finished good distribution within tight commercial timelines. Typically, the setup of financial order to cash (fulfilment) processes is part of this work.
